The New Zealand and Australian Chambers of Commerce in South Korea co-organized a Rugby charity event. This event was held on the 13th of April at the Grand Hyatt in Seoul, South Korea. Special guest speakers legendary rugby hero Sean Fitzpatrick and Eddie Jones, former director of Australian rugby national team, were in attendance to help make the event special. The New Zealand, Australian and Japanese ambassadors to Korea were there as well as over 400 corporate representatives, everybody with the objective of helping to raise money to support those affected by the earthquakes in Christchurch as well as Japan.

The event started with a traditional Maori welcome and Kapa Haka and finished with the auction of one of only three 2002 FIFA world cup gold balls in the world. Oamaru stone sculptor Jin Lee was invited as a guest speaker and asked to donate her sculpture for the charity auction. While presenting her sculpture, she talked about the beauty of the Oamaru limestone and gave a very touching appeal for those in attendance to support the people affected by the recent devastating earthquakes.

She was happy to contribute to support NZ.
